Integrating Yoga, Touch, Breath, Visualization, Reiki, Mantra and Movement
Ayurvedic Yoga Massage Therapy is a full body treatment that fuses together elements of deep tissue massage, assisted yoga-based stretches, visualization, mantra, reiki and breathwork to open up the body for an experience of total rejuvenation. The entire yoga massage treatment takes place on a mattress on the floor, which allows the therapist to use both their hands and feet for a highly effective technique to perform the oil massage and yoga-based stretches. A small amount of oil is mixed with a scrubbing powder called Calamus, an Ayurvedic herbal remedy that is used as part of the treatment to stimulate the skin and pull out toxins from the body thanks to improved circulation. An Ayurvedic Yoga Massage session typically takes 90 minutes to 2 hours and is tailored to match individual needs for a treatment that brings about a sense of openness and wellbeing on a physical, mental and emotional level.
